    How do I know if my cartilage has shattered?
    I had my cartilage pierced with a gun about 7 months ago and have had no infections or anything so far, but recently removed my piercing and have a small bump around the hole where my piercing was. Does this mean my ear has shattered?

    Not likely. It's a very common thing to get bumps on the ear near the cartilage. Either see your piercer, or go to your doctor. They can give you the best advice.

    The bump is likely a protein buildup or a keloid. Nothing to worry about, just a little annoying.

    I had the same problem . But the problem now is that I've had it done for a while now and it still hurts . Does that mean mine is shattered.
