How to fade dyed hair more quickly ?
I dyed my hair a medium brown is turned out way to dark so then I put a stripper on ( bad mistake ) then applied a light brown well it was OK but still not my natural color. So I tried and put a little lighter but still turn out dark. I went to walgreens and got the Color Oops it took the color out and back to the light brown so now I'm trying to fade it fast but it's not working it still looks dark. I've been using prell , dawn, baking soda, even a hot oil treatment nothing it working or I'm not doing it right one. Do you put the prell on wet or dry hair ? How long do you leave it on ? How much of the baking soda do you use ? I don't know any of these questions could does anyone know the answers to these questions ?
( the Color Oops is a great product if you want to take a color you don't like but it will not take it back to the natural color unless you only put 1 color on it... it reduces the dye molecules letting you shampooing the color out safely without the need for bleach or ammonia or perxoide ) Any help on this matter I well be thankful God Bless.

You can go to like a hair salon store, like sally's or something and there is bleach and developer you can mix together and bleach your hair and then wash it and then dye it the color you want. After you bleach your hair it is going to feel very gross the texture is VERY dry but it will be fine afer you dye it the color you want and then wah it. Next time you dye your hair try not leaving it on for so long. If you have dyed your hair times before this than the color doesn't take as long as it would if you haven't dyed your hair a lot or not recently. I had this problem before my hair turned out black instead if brown, and I tried all kinds of way to get it out and this is the only way I have found works..
Now I leave the dye in my hair for about 25 to 30 min tops..
Good Luck

You're killing your hair! Leave it alone! The color will fade as you wash it.

I don't want to do anything very harsh but the prell is not that harsh of shampoo I only use the dawn once or twice. The baking soda was maybe a tablespoon full, I would rather use the semi-pernament color till my hair grows out. I thought it would look awful cause my natural color has a light brown but not the color of brown it is now and allot of gray in it like at least 75% gray people thought I had it streaked like that.
