    Start up problems
:( I use an IBM thinkpad with windows 98 and all of a sudden, when I went to boot up my system, all it shows me is a picture of a disk drive with a disk beneath it and then an animated F1 key ( Im gathering it wants me to put a disk into the floppy and press F1 ). Here's the problem, I have a CD rom and a plug in A drive but I do not have a disk to put into it... does this message of sorts mean that I need a back up? Where can I make one? The manufacturer sent me a sticker of the windows registration but no back up disk... AND, is it going to work in the D drive if on a disk? Is there anywhere I can download a backup on the net? I have a desktop comp with a cd burner. What happened in the first place that my laptop crapped out?
    Please help.
    Thanks, Ang.
