I have to agree that love can also be an experience. Love is not only defined as what is already in you, there are more facets of love than just that! : )
Dorky song... lol, cracked me up though!

It can be experienced and that is why other people seem to come into our lives to share what is in them to us. Which enhances and allows us to experience more of what we already have. It is like an electrical current. It has its place of origin (which is you) and moves through the circuits (which is everyone else) and eventually comes back to its starting point and then recirculates again and it is a never ending process.

Love is something, which can be experienced no doubt, but literature on this issue abounds, and that is it. The whole issue is discussed badly by the Romantic poets. I think that love is something, which makes life meaningful, usefula and enduring. Married life is sacred and love your wife, your children and your known ones.

Great post! And I completely agree.
We are told that love is this overwhelming feeling - that it is the stuff of fairytales, that you know when you find your true love, love at first sight as examples. But actually love is everywhere, in every single relationship.
One of my friends is confused because she says she has never been in love - mainly because of the false idea of what love is, I believe. But she is the most kind and generous person, and you can just see the love she shares with people and partners.
I think being told love is everything is quite damaging as people rate their achievements based on whether they have been in love. People have everything they have ever wanted, but without a relationship they think it is meaningless.
