    How to wire 5 wire to 4 wire thermostat
    I had a 5 wire honeywell mercury thermostat. I have changed it to a 4 wire programmable thermostat. How do I do that? So that I can have heat and airconditioning.

    Match the wires from the airhandler to the thermostat R,W,G,&Y. The common "C" will not be used.
