Out of whack all day; could I be pregnant
"on the 14th day of my cycle I think I ovulated. I felt the discomfort in my abdominal area and was very moody. That was Saturday. Today is Monday. My body has been going out of whack all day. First I had indigestion than lower abdominal pains and my breast area was having mild pain. Then this evening I was standing in line and got a sudden sharp pain in my vaginal area. Seemingly to run up the split. I don't know how else to describe it. Then they all went away. Could this be signs of early pregnancy?"

If you ovulated on Sat. and had sex on Sat. or Sun. you could be pregnant. BUT it is way too early to know. You could be feeling your body trying to become pregnant. Your egg needs to attach, but it usually takes 7-10 after ovulation for this process to complete. In this process some people experience discomfort in their abdomen but most women don't feel anything until about three weeks after ovulation.
I'm not a doctor or nurse but in my experience it is just way too early to tell. Unless you meant that it has been 8 days between that Sat. and this Mon. If that's the case than you could be feeling implantation of the egg. Some women (only about 20%) actually feel implantation and experience light spotting. But implantation usually happens 7-10 after ovulation/intercourse.
Your best bet is to wait until about 4 days before your next period and take a test or look for implantation symptoms in the next week.

As the above poster states, it is way too early to tell if this is pregnancy or not. It generally takes approximately 3 days for the sperm to travel up through the vaginal canal, through the uterus, and into the fallopian tubes where it meets the egg. It then takes another 3 - 5 days for the fertilized ovum to travel back down through the fallopian tubes into the uterus where it begins to implant, taking up to a week for full implantation to occur.

Thus it can be as many as a couple of weeks after ovulation for symptoms of pregnancy to occur.

kidko disagrees: I kind of agree with you but I don't I've read to many articles from men and women stating they know their body well enough to know early. Women's intuition. But in my experience I didn't know until I was told which was 5wk and 5days into pregnancy.
It's fine to disagree, but please check my qualifications. I am an OB nurse. I am the first to admit that we know our bodies better than doctors do, I have experienced that first hand with my cancer. I was just explaining the timeline from ejaculation to implantation.

**EDIT** in this 4 day timeline, it is possible that the sperm has not even met up with the egg yet. And even more possible that the fertilized egg has not produced enough pregnancy hormone to be causing symptoms.
