    Clogged drains
My toilets and tubs were not draining, We put the snake down it to unclog it, and when we got done, the tubs started draining, and backing up into the toilets, and when we unclog the toilets, the tubs back up. We even snaked the cleanout pipe to the street. But when it starts to drain, we don't see any water running in the cleanout pipe. What can we do, and is that an indication that a pipe is broke under the house.

This puts the clog inside the house. You should have snaked the line from the lavatory roof vent. Is that where you snaked from? If not rent a sewer machine and send it down the roof vent. Put out enough cable to reach the base and 20 feet more. Flush with hot water afterwards. Good luck, Tom

My tubs are backing up only when my washing machine drains. I thought it was my sewer line and used an auger to clear that, but it's still happening. Could I need a new washer? This one is over 10 years old.
