How the true spirit of jubilance
Can flash by
In an instant
Or stay with us
As if a smile
Was tattooed across our hearts
How fast the days do pass us
When our grief
Can lie in shadows
And we do not procrastinate
In leaving our ill woes
Behind

Still -
That stone adult expression -
It often made me wonder
If happiness
Was not left for children
As innocence is to a babe

I have had that
Light and Joyous feeling
That swims
Beneath the skin,
Tickling you
Straight through your soul
Until you race inside
Like the wings of a hummingbird
Flying

Then
It doesn't matter if it's raining
Because you feel
Like the sun
Is beaming
And that around you
God is smiling
So you too
are smiling back

Inside
You drift to places
Like a beach
Next to an ocean
Or a field
That's filled with flowers
Or within
A lover's arms

Do not
Misunderstand me
I cannot deny
That sadness
Has enveloped me
Causing
All my tears
To fall

That when I was a child
I felt pain
And I shared
Laughter
There were lessons
That were planted
That I learn more
As I grow

That my being
Is like
A funny bone
That can't be seen
By the naked eye
That it has it's soft spots
That make me laugh
And that make me
Cry

That there are those
That know
I'm ticklish
But are not sure
Of just quite where

And there are those
That I know
Love Me
Who can pull
Strings of my heart
Can trip and fall down
Holding tight
Onto my
Hand

And them,
They always shine
Because they can tickle
My heart
And set
Those hummingbirds
To flight

Tralyn, I am just this evening beginning to see your posts. I feel I have missed a lot by not coming across your posts earlier. You touch something deep inside my spirit, like kindred souls meant to collide with such a clarity of purpose as to share a mirror image of oneself. It is late and perhaps tomorrow I will wonder why I felt this familiarity to a person I have never met nor read before but for now, I thank you for your gift of imagery through your words. Of the posts I have read this evening, I feel you know me already and I, you. Perhaps not but your writings are quite refreshing and I thank you for sharing!

I think that certain spirits can sense the goodness in one another and there - a common bond, a connection is formed. I got chills as I read your post. I peeked at your website - absolutely beautiful work - from deep inside it flows. Thank you for your post - I truly appreciate it. I am rather new here, I hope we cross paths again soon
