FORBIDDEN errors using Actiontec GT704WG Router
My ISP is Verizon, and I am using the Actiontec GT704WG Router. My problem, within the last three months, when I click on various sites, I get the following error: FORBIDDEN You do not have permission to access / on this server. This happens on various sites, and I find it happens a lot when I try to access my msn hotmail. I can connect to MSN, but am forbidden to connect to Hotmail. When the router has been on an hour or more, this problem disappears. Verizon doesn't know what to tell me other than to turn the router on and off. Works sometimes, not always. I have a Dell Dimension XPS Generation 2, Intel Pentium 4, Processor 3.4GHz, 2GB Ram, XP Professional SP3. Checked for Virus, spyware, malware, have defragged. I would appreciate any help, Debbie

Recently, as a result of the NY Attorney General's action. Many large ISPs have agree to restrict access to several sites, mostly those associated with kiddie porn. So I don't know why it would restrict a hotmail site. I would contact Verizon to see if the sites you are trying to reach are restricted.

Thank you for answering. There are no parental controls. The sites I try to reach are normal sites-it has happened on Amazon, Navigon and even Microsoft. It is weird, sometimes I have no problem reaching anything. Verizon is really no help, I don't think they know.
