Am I entitled to a refund for my car?
This may be a little complicated, so I want to explain it the best and shortest possible way.

I went to a car dealership in Dec. 07 and put 500.00 down towards a car. About a month later the finance counselor who sold me the car told me that my employment couldn't be verified. I voluntarily returned the car.

A few weeks later he called me back in to the dealership, and offered to sell me a used car for 850.00, I agreed. They still had my 500 and it was agreed that it would be used towards this vehicle. He told me since my finances were tight that he would accept payments according to my paycheck until the 350.00 was paid off. When I went to sign the paperwork the price had been jacked up an additional 800.00 because they said there was a lot of work put into it, ( new tires, oil change etc)but they would give me an itemized list of things that were done.

I know for a fact that there was actually no work done on this car.

About three weeks later I called the dealership to put more money on my car. A few days later I found the manager rejected my payment (he wanted me to pay an additional 800.00 in one payment). My finance counselor wrote me an email saying my car was out for repo. I went to the dealership to get an itemized list on the work done, the manager refused to release the information to me, he snatched my keys out of my hand and took the car back.

The finance counselor apologized and said that I would get a full refund. This was in March '08, all of my messages and mail have been ignored since then. What should I do and am I entitled to a refund? Is there a law against any of this?

Without knowing exactly what you signed its hard to tell if any laws were broken. It would appear you have a case for a refund though.
