    Can't install Winzip
I downloaded Winzip 11.1 but cannot get it to install on my system. Windows 98 SE. The error message is: "A device attached to the system is not functioning". Any advice greatly appreciated, as I cannot read zipped files.

Are you trying to install this to an external drive or have anything attached on USB.
Also worth trying a reboot and then installing again.

I doubt that 11.1 is compatible with Win98. I suggest downloading 7-Zip, which is open source (hence free - WinZip is not) and which will work with Win98.

    he's right

winzip isn't compatible with win9x anymore you need 2000 or newer... 7zip is a much better option anyway, lighter, free and handles more arhive types
