Well I would be interested in knowing just how expensive it would be. Thanks so much for offering. I don't think they are terribly far from London, but I don't know of a closer town. I just want to get her something nice... just a get away for a few hrs. She and her husband just split, and she has 3 kids... one with autism, and she could sure use a day to herself.

I was suppose to be there right now in fact, but with all that happened, it got called off for the time being. She had a plane ticket in the works, to bring me over, and we were going to go on a cruise in the Norfolk Broads. Her husband ended up squandering the money away, so the trip is postponed for now. I feel really bad for all that she is going through.

    Yes! We have "spoken" before.

It really is heaven, except when my daughter won't pick me up from the pub, LOL!

It's peaceful, although the last few years we have had a spate of murders (2 I think) but for Guernsey that is a spate.

Everyone feel free to come over. I would say first round is on me, but my wages wouldn't cover it. LOL
