Is this a violation
I was suspended from work because of false allegations. My employer wanted all of my prescriptions to make copies of them. I gave them the ones I had except my anti-anxiety med. Because it needed refilled. I got it refilled and my pharmacist faxed it to them. Now they are demanding proof that I have been on this medication when at first all they told me was that they needed the prescription.

Is there a reason they are asking for this? Was there an incident at work where you or someone else got injured? Are you in Nursing? I ask because this question is in the nursing forum.

Yes, I do work in nursing and there was an allegation made that I was carrying illegal presciption drugs not properly labeled. I took in all of the prescriptions that I had except for the anti-anxiety because it needed refilled. I don't keep empty scipt bottles laying around my house.

Then is there a reason you cannot ask your doctor to write a note with the script dosage and times to take it, along with how long it has been prescribed for you?

Invasion of privacy
No there isn't except my Dr. is out of town until Monday and they are going to keep me suspended even though I already did what they asked.

This should be put on the same post you already did or J_9 could miss it for a follow up.
I'll add it to your original and maybe a moderator can combine this eventually.

Firstly, Monday is not a long time away. Secondly, is there a nurse in his office that can fill this paperwork out for you? I frequently have to do this for the doctor that I work for and it is acceptable.

You could also have gone to your pharmacy and had a print out of all your medications that they filled over a certain period.

Yes, they wanted all of your prescriptions, that seemed clear but you only provided part of them and then added a new one, you did not prove you had one on the old prescription for this. As noted your drug store may have been able to provide that for you also.
