    Breast Pain
Okay, so for the past 6 days I have been at home with acute bronchitis. The hospitals doctor prescribed me Cheratussin AC SYP for the cough and Clarithromycin 500mg for my lungs. Ever since I have been on these medications, I have had a pain in my right breast. It's almost like a chest pain and a muscle pain together. The pain goes all the way to my back. It's not a severe pain, just a slight one. It comes and goes. Also my nipple, the very tip of it feels as though someone had scratched it and made it irritated. Or like when you go to the beach and the send rubs you the wrong way and you get those sore spots? That's what it feels like. If I touch it it feels sore. I am fairley certain I didn't scratch it. Is this normal or is it something that I should have looked at? Ughhh, I'm so worried.

Oh! And I haven't had my period in about 5 months(no there is no chance of me being pregnant) and I haven't slept a single night in the past week, due to my cough. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I might as well through it out there.

When I was at the hospital they did a chest x-ray on me and he said that my lungs were clear(aside from the bronchitis), he didn't mention anything about above that, so I assumed there wasn't anything to be concerned about?

    :(

The only thing I know is that the two may not be related. Sometimes two things coincidentally happen at the same time. I get breast pain everymonth at that time of the month (also in my underarms) and I had a lot of pain when I was pregnant. (But I'd guess you'd already know that.) It might be worth it to get a home testing kit just to make sure because I was told I couldn't conceive. I did anyway. I would definitely definitely definitely talk to my doctor about the pain. That's what they are there for. That's why you paid him or her and as far as I'm concerned this shouldn't be another visit to pay for but included as part of the previous visit because it may well be caused by the treatment. But if it is not a known side effect then it may just be a coincidence. Also it may be a previously unknown side effect. That's the thing about drugs. They don't know all the side effects until millions of people have taken them. That's why drugs get pulled off the market. I used to work in a pharmacy. A lot more get pulled than the general public realizes. When you get a prescription you might ask your doctor how long the drug has been on the market and if it hasn't been out long if there is anything effective that has been around longer. Of course, this will somewhat undermine the development of new drugs. There is no perfection other than Jesus. Good Luck.

Thank you. This made me feel some what better. Now that I think about it I was spotting(light period) earlier in the day. The reason I'm going to not do the pregnancy test is because I am a virgin. In every sense of the word. So unless I'm pregnant with Jesus or something, I highly doubt that has something to do with it. Lol
