    Ceiling Fan Troubleshooting
I just removed one ceiling fan w/light and replaced it with another. The new ceiling fan will not work but the attached light kit does work. They use the same power source, I don't understand what the trouble could be. The fan is a brand new lower end Hunter.
    Thanks for any ideas.

Tell us what wiring you have in both the fan and the ceiling.

The house wiring setup is this... two fans with light kits on one single pole switch. It's the fan farthest from the switch that doesn't work. I have not replaced the closer one yet. It works fine but I will replace so both match. The new fan/light has a wiring harness that connects the light kit. The kit has both pull chains for light and fan.
Thanks in advance for any comebacks...

We're asking, what are the wires from the ceiling and from the fan, and how have you connected them?

I have figured out the problem. It was a defect in the wiring harness.
Thanks very much for your input... Hod

Glad you got it working. I don't know what you mean by wiring harness.
