    How do I second-parent adopt in New York my girlfriend is pregnant
    My girfriend and I have been together for a few years. We always talked about having kids. Last month we found out she was pregnant with a donor's sperm. The donor wants no parental rights or obligations. Can I adopt the child before it is born? And if we list no known father on the birth certificate will that allow me to adopt the child without any problems?

    Do NOT just put your name on the BC. A birth certificate is a legal document, and it's fraud to deliberately lie on one.

    Get an attorney, preferably one specializing in adoption law. They will be able to walk you through the legalities of what you need to do.

    Ok sperm donor like she want to a sperm bank, or sperm donor like she was sleeping with someone she did not love for sex and got pregnant?

    But unless this is a sperm bank, the bio father is the llegal father, and would be liable for child support. But you can not do anything till after the baby is born, once born, you can go though an attorney and file for adoption and get the "sperm donor" to sign over their righs for you to adopt
