    I was audited by IRS
Hello, I was just recently audited by IRS and I now owe a little over 100k, being a successful realtor and with the market being shaky, not having any income for over 6mo. Is there anything I can do to lower the amount do to IRS?

First, you can appeal the results of the audit if you disagree about how much is owed. If you did not have professional representation, contact either a tax attorney or an enrolled agent to get that professional help.

Once the appeal has been decided one way or another, your next step may be an Offer in Compromise. Again, you will need professional help to file this.

As a final alternative, you may need to consider bankruptcy.
