    Pregnancy Test
I am 2 weeks late on my period and I threw up this morning and last week I took a hpt and it was negative.

Do you think that I could be pregnant?

Sometimes it takes longer for a positive result to show up on an hpt. I'd retest using first morning urine or go the doctors office for a blood test.

    Good luck.

I agree with Alty, take the test using first morning urine. It also could be a stomach bug.

Thanks! Good advice. I just hear so much about women who test before their missed period and know in advance and how the hpt should pick up the hcg 95% day before (well, that is what the box says).

    Thanks!

Yeah, but the box is not always right. It's best to wait about a week after your missed period and test using first morning urine. Just more accurate this way. ;-)

I don't think that is a stomach bug. I never get headaches and I have had one off and off, very sleepy and cramps.

For some women the early tests do work, it all depends on your hcg level. I was one of the women who tested positive very early, but I have since learned that my case is not the norm.

Buy a two pack, that way you can retest again if necessary, or just to confirm the results. A two pack is generally cheaper than buying two single tests.

    Good luck.

Yep, I purchased the two pack. The first one showed absolutely nothing and the second was negative. I purchased the new one from First Response that shows you the work Not/Yes.

However, I did not use the first morning urine but the late night aftermath :).

It's important to use first morning urine as it has the highest concentration of hcg. Try again first thing in the morning, and let us know how it goes. :)

A good thing to know the cheap test work just as good. Just because u pay 20 buck for one, you may be able to pay 5 bucks and still get the same results.

    Good luck!
