    Middle school - friends
    I'm starting middle school and I'm a little nervous about making/choosing friends. I like smone stuff that is a little different - I'm not into all the stuff that is popular right now. Any syggestions?

    Starting middle school is a big step! Most often you will be around others that you don't know. If the school that you are starting is one where kids go to that are from the grade school that you have just attended, then you will find old friends to hang around with. Through them, and in small groups you most likely will be able to meet new friends with whom you will form bonds because of the things that all of you are into mutually.

    If you get involved in things like band, orchestra, chorus, clubs or sports of any kind, then you will be likely to find friends with whom you have things in common. Joining groups that are available at a school should help to ease your fears some.

    What are the types of things that you are into, please? It would help us to help you the best here if we could know about those things.
