Have you thought of a word in a different language? Like Love in chinese or something?
Rabbit, lots of people have tattoos. I have one on my lower back, I don't regret it. I thought long and hard about it before I went and got it done.
My boyfriend got a bunch of tatts when he was my age.. he is 37, and I'm 21. He doesn't always like being asked about them, but he knows that its apart of him and he wouldn't change it.
And they still look pretty good.

Sorry, the chinese thing's been overdone. So is sanskrit.
I have nothing against tattoos... however, loveishard, if you personally don't have anything you like, or is personally meaningful to you, I don't suggest it.
It's like buying a car without actually liking something, you know? Don't go to the lot hoping someone'll sell something to you.

We don't know what will be meaningful TO YOU.
And don't PLEASE do something in another language unless you speak this language, or it's a language of your birthplace or somehow involved with your heritage...
My best friend whose Irish just got a HUGE tattoo of her name French, not only can she pronounce it, but she feels stupid when people ask her about it because it doesn't make sense.

Going along with what chihuahua said...
... to us asians, whenever we see caucasians with chinese tattoos... it baffles us.. . really. Really. Baffles us.
Oh, and sometimes, when we ask, "what does that tattoo say?" and we're told the explanation, we laugh in secret because that's not what it really says.

I don't know how into Shakespeare you are, but one of my favorite quotes is: Seek happy nights through happy days

That's so true. My best friend happens to be Jamaican/Chinesse and when I went to get my tattoo in her language I ask her if it's what I wanted it to say and she said yes. Also, my boyfriend speaks 5 languages, so I ask him too, and he said yes. This was before I get the tattoo.

To loveishard, I don't think you want something too long but a short phrase instead.

What is the tattoo of that you got about a month ago, please? Would you want something that might be complimentary to the one that you already have?
Thanks!

I actually really like this one:
Even though it's a little long..
And it tells you the meaning behind it too..
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart."
-Helen Keller
Beyond The Quote
The greatest things in life are not material, they are rather what we feel and believe. The love we have for those among us is most important. Happiness, love and friendship are the most prized possessions
To have. To experience the world with your heart is the
True way to fulfill your life.

Just because I feel like the can say a lot more then a single word
I tossed around the idea of the word FAITH , and thought that, that word alone means a lot..
But I just want something unique

You know what I mean. :)
Those little pieces of paper that come out of the funny shaped cookies that we get at Chinese restaurants at the end of a meal, that we know are not true, and yet, in a lot of cases, we wish that they were!
After eating the cookie, they can be found in wallets,...
