You contact the American Kennel Club and possibly fax your papers and they could verify that your pup is registered with them. That is if you live in the states, in Canada, of course, it would the Canadian Kennel Club. I don't know what it is called in the UK.

On my papers on the back it has an email address I have checked this out an it's a us address! Would this be right if the pups were born in the uk? And the payment for change of owner is in dollars shouldn't this be sterling?

It depends. What breed are these dogs? If they are a breed that is only recognized with the AKC and not the UK, then it makes sense that they are registered with the AKC.

If the breed is also registered with the UK club, then contact the UK club and ask what the procedure is to get the papers registered with the UK club. I'm sure they have an importation registration procedure.
