    Sociopath or psychopath?
Say someone is pretty sure they're a true psychopath and they see a counselor/psych and tell them all their "psycho" thoughts. Will the counselor/psych be likely to advise that this person be locked up or whatever? Say also this person has no criminal history, no bad/violent history at all, or anything like that and no true intent to harm anyone or anything either (just imaginary type harming).

They can not lock them up without a crime.

They can advise them to be 302-ed at the psych ward for an in depth evaluation.
