    Calcium Deposits
    Hi there,

I wasn't really sure if this should be in "beauty" or "health conditions". But here goes.

I went to the determotolist a fews months back and they told me that I have calcium deposits on my chin. She said that this was caused by dehydration. Then proceeded to tell me that the treatment was going to cost upwards of $5,000. CUTE!

My question is, is this really what this is or did she just want my money?

They are hard pus filled pores... I guess that's really the best way to describe it. It's under the skin though... I can squeeze the stuff out though, but it just comes back, and its right at the corner of my lips.

So, if this caused by dehydration will it go away by drinking tons of water?

I have heard of calcium deposits on the shins, knees, etc. but not on the face. You can reduce this by eliminating chocolate and caffeine from your diet. I would get a second opinion.

My cousin had them on her face and I have no idea what she did to get rid of them but it was NOT a $5,000 trip to the dermatologist. A second opinion would be a lot cheaper than $5,000, though.

A second opinion is out of the question right now, that is why I am coming here. Perhaps you could ask her for me what she did to get rid of them?
