I am on windows vista
This is getting to be a nuisance,
When I want to get in some of my folders it comes on screen
Showing, a program needs your permision to
Continue, I have to click on OK,
I went to user account control -on or off-
I have turned it off, computer restarted
Now Windows security Alert is showing on the task bar
Iff I turn it back on I get it all over again.

In Control Panel, go to the Security Center. On the left hand side, click the "Change the way Security Center alerts me" and choose "Don't notify me and don't display the icon (not recommended)" as shown.



Of course, you probably shouldn't do this to Mom and Dad's PC, but this is a must-change for anyone who doesn't need Windows holding their hand at every crosswalk.
