    At home dye
Is at home dye worse for your hair than getting it done at a salon?

It all depends on the ammonia that's in it, the ammonia free are best for at home use

What color were you thinking. I'm about to do the same. You can do it at home, but make sure you have the patience for it. They all have the same amount of ammonia, if your going lighter of course. If darker then you can get one without ammonia. Also if you have a perm, please wait at least 12 days before using a hair color with ammonia, or if your going darker then you can use one without an ammonia and dye your hair right after a perm. Good luck!
