    Developing your psychic abilities?
    They say everyone is psychic but they don't know how to tune it. How can I develop my psychic abilities? I heard meditation works but I find it hard to relax and distract myself from the outside.

    It just takes practice like anything else. You need to be able to focus for one. There are many different psychic gifts a person can have. There is something that you probably didn't know. The psychic gifts can come and go and you can have different gifts come and stay say for a year or so and then just go away and get other gifts in their place. Some people have the same gifts year in and year out. I find that my gifts can change from one year to the next but some of my gifts keep staying and getting better. You must be aware of all the different gifts available to you and be able to recognize them. They can be very subtle and you could have them and not realize it. Read up on psychic gifts to see which gifts you could possibly have.

    Getting your life down to basics helps. Having a lot of material things and distractions makes it harder to get in tune with psychic abilities.

    Hi,Cowandchicken

    You have to learn how to open up your mind, If you can find a reliable medium to speak to, they will be able to advise you on how to go about it.

    It's a lot more than just relaxing and you have to be very careful.

    Make sure you are shown how to protect yourself in prayer and other manner of things, this is very important, you wouldn't want a bad entity coming into your mind, so be extremely cautious and totally serious about this if it is what you really want.

    REmember these things can work for you or against you if your not sure what your doing, so seek out a reputable medium to train you and I'm sure you'll be fine.

    You can even fool yourself into believing that all that exists is what you can see, hear, smell, taste and touch.

    Try getting a hot bath to relax your musslesand eat a good meal- then find a comphy posistion and look into yourself.

    One thing I noticed is that the more people are into their own little world and their set way of thinking the less open they are to being in touch with psychic/intuitive type things.

    Meditation does work, and it takes time to learn it. Keep working at it. Naming and claiming yourself as a psychic (or magician, or whatever name you choose) is another way, although there's an old saying, be careful what you wish for...

    Learning shamanic journeying is a great benefit to psychic training. It also allows you to meet a power animal or other spirit guide who can give you guidance. You might want to look around for someone who teaches this sort of thing.
