Dissing my friends
How do I get him to stop dissing my friends? They aren't perfect, but he's not one to judge, either. This really irritates me, and he knows that and still does it.

Oh, my bad. I thought it was the relationships you have with your friends.
Well... is there a reason for this? Does he not like your friends for a certain reason? Is there a certain person that he insults more.. Perhaps he insults the guys more?

No, he actually really likes my guys friend. It's more one person that he insults more. Because she was making out with her boyfriend at our New Years party, and now she has a new boyfriend, so he thinkgs she's a slut. He finds things about all of them to call them names about...

Well, I'm assuming you tried talking to him..
... have you tried just giving him a taste of his own meds?

Yes, but if you read my other posts he doesn't feel that men are women can be considered the same for the same behaviors. So his friends sleeping with more people than my friends make his friends "just guys" but my friends are sluts and bad influences.

Honestly, seeing that these are his "values," I don't see how you can change him.
It's the equivalent of trying to show a racist that racism is wrong. One of my exes had a tendency to be misogynist. He once told me that women aren't skilled in math and science because women were lacking in his classes. I let him know that there were a myriad of other factors at work besides one's biological sex, predominantly societal factors, that influence people's behavior, personality, and life choices. Then again, he didn't like it when I told him he should burst out of his own bigoted bubble and seeing as we're no longer together... :cough:
But hey, if I didn't set him straight, who would?
Short of not putting up with it and breaking it off, I'm not sure what you can do to ameliorate the situation. :T
Let me know how that works out for you.

I tend to live with things I can't change. If I can't influence the way he thinks I find my influence on him in vain. He's changed me a lot, and I know I've already changed him a lot. I don't give up and move on, especially after investing my love, my life, my heart, and two years.

This and your other posts lately lead me to believe there is trouble in paradise! Does it go beyond the little things you've posted about??

Our relationship is great. I love him with all my heart, and I know he loves me. We get along great. We just differ in our beliefs.

Since I'm really shy my friends don't notice me as much and when I start middle school I want to start new, like suddenly after two months I'm actually not shy anymore. But I'm not sure how do that and what if I leave them will they tell all my secrets. So I need help and fast.
