Can your partner catch anything from breast whilst there lacating if you were Hiv?
Can your partner catch anything from your breasts whilst there lacating if you were Hiv? It's a bodily fluid so maybe it could carry HIV?

Research indicates that the answer is yes.

Yes, I am sure JKT did some research too. I have, after reading your question. But. Why would this be an issue with you? You are pregnant, so why would your question be concerning your partner catching it from your breast milk? Yes, I know, this is a turn on for some men but why don't you do some research into your unborb baby and breastfeeding, seeing as you are HIV?

I can't find it on another forum, including an Internet check - wanted to check out exactly what was asked. Where was it posted?

As others have said, yes HIV can be transmitted through breastmilk... whether or not someone should attempt to breastfeed knowing they have HIV depends on several factors. In most cases, it is recommended not to.
Would a one time occurrence make it likely, such as a partner wanting to see what breastmilk tastes like... probably not. Should someone knowingly take that chance, however small... that is up to them I guess.

My ? Is whyy would u have unprotected sex knowing u had hiv? And why would u get pregnant having hiv? Knowing that it could infect and kill your baby. People do adopted for a reason, maybe this is just me but if "if" being the key word, if I had hiv I wouldn't have unprotected sex and run the risk or spreading hiv and getting pregnant then giving birth to a child who could be infected because I was selfish and I knew what could happen to this child. I just don't understand people. (Sorry crzy hormoans get the best of me sometimes)

It's a legitimate question Natalie, and has certainly been asked before... obviously it is usually associated with the concern of breastfeeding a baby and whether the benefits outweigh the risks. Since it can be passed through breastmilk, age doesn't matter if it is ingested. However, there is not the same risk if they just happen to come in contact with it.

Natalie, if your question didn't actually involve you then you should have been careful to word it in a general sort of way so that you would not have had these assumptions from a lot of women who care about their answers. Sometimes people depend on us to refer them to, or help them with questions that concern their health. Peace.

I don't think you got jumped on but if I jumped on you I'm sorry - it's just that this question combined with your other questions sounded to me like it's your question.
I did find another post about a lactating woman, her boyfriend and oral sex and thought perhaps you had not posted the entire question.

I did notice that you changed "me" and "I" and "my" in your original questions now that the question has been raised.
I don't know why you didn't post "someone asked me and so I wondered -" but that's up to you. Not a very good idea to pass other people's questions along, get answers and then take credit for them.
It's not a competition but I find the practice to be less than truthful. "Most people," referring to info from another party which they are quoting, give credit to the person who originally answered.

Yeah when I do that I use several references to look up and then word it in my own words or post some sites that explain what I want to say.

Sex whilst having periods
[ 14 Answers ]
Hi
Was just wondering, my boyfriend says that sex feels better when you are on your period as you are more sensitive.
Is this correct?
Also, is it dangerous to have sex while having my period and am I more likely to get pregnant?
Thanksx
