Ode to my world, full of flowers

This world holds my garden, that grows near and far.

    My garden, colorful and fragrant
    Spreads near and far.
    Yellows and reds
Burst of purples and blues , pinks and whites
    And oranges too.
Each of them giving off their unique beauty
    Or fragrance, to my delight.

Every morning before the dew has lifted
I go about, up and down the streets
Winding through the hills or flat lands,
Taking in their beauty and smell.

To my awe there is always something new to see.
Treasures to be found on a meandering path or back in the mountains.
Often at the side of the road or the edge of a yard,
    A bud ready to peak
Or a blossom bright and open.

As often as not, I see them gently
    Bow their heads,
Ready to give back from which they came.
Down to the ground it will fall and start all over again .

This world holds my garden, that grows near and far.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. The board had been kind of quite so I thought I would write something, esp since I have seen some really lovely flowers this summer. Also Startover pm'd me the other day and told me she was going on a little journey... I imagine she saw some beautiful things.

bushg, I loved your poem. We are having a nice time and the sites on the way here have been glorious! Even the old train tracks a ways away driving through the mountains caught my eye. I am sitting here in our trailer... nothing but peace and quiet and little breaths and small snores;)
I will get lots of pics and send you a link to them, also I will ask some wonderful picture posters to maybe get a few on here for me when I get them loaded and back home! Hugs to the sweetest artists I know!

I hope no one minds me posting this site... here is an artist and her life with a coyote and her cat that she has raised since babies. You will find some neat, interesting and funny pictures on the site.
If you look at the buffalo skull picture, there is a story about a little girl that has started an eBay auction to help endangered animals. I hope you all enjoy some of the pictures as much as I have. There are many archived that shows him growing up and also some nice pictures of the surronding area. The Daily Coyote Enjoy!

I sure wish I could open the links, but the service out here is really really slow. I will check them out when I get home! Hope you all are well. Bushg, I did see that link a while back when you posted it on the last Artist thread, I did enjoy it. ;)

Just to show that drawing isn't all I do, I ofer the following 2 pics. They're from the Zombiefest in Monroeville, PA, 2006 (it broke a Guinness record for the event, then they did it again 2007). That's my 'adopted' niece holding my handiwork. I wear it on Halloween instead of my everyday leg. (I couldn't make the event but wanted at least part of me there... )

Thanks. I get a kick out of the adult reactions even more than the kids. They wonder where your real leg is - that it IS my leg doesn't occur to them. <G>

(You know your costume's a hit if you can get the 12yo boys to say 'cool' <G>)
