Not exactly, here is a device for installing car audio with side terminal battery cables. STINGER - SGMSA - STINGER GM battery terminal, multiple output. at Sound Off Audio

This is sort of the device, not identical, you will need for top terminals, if so equipped.

You can't remove strands off your battery cable, so something similar to this is what you will need.

Another example: Stinger SBTMP Car Audio Pro Multi Gauge Input Positive Battery Terminal

Any high end car audio installer ought to be able to help you out.

    Watch for clearances.

Remember that fuseable links are low gauge wires compared to what they are connected to in a high temperature insulation. The designs got smarter as time passed. You wan't controlled severing, just like a fuse.

    Maybe I said that wrong
The cable coming from positive battery post about 20" long then it has this black molded rubber square which the fusible links came from right at that point is where they broke off
How would the part you showed help ?
I don't plan on removing any strands of wire I was going to cut this black rubber molded part off and solder new fuse links in place then heat shrink everything when done
Sorry but I just need my ol girl running again

I was hoping that the links started at the battery. This would allow the links to start there. Go o an audio place and they should be able to helo you.

Let's say you had three fusable links of #8 AWG.

You could install this device at the battery, continue with the battery cable
Now run 3 pieces of #6 to where the fusable links are, place in loom tubing and go.

I'm not totally familiar with what is available and what the constraints are. Just assuming that you can't buy the required part. There may be inline battery cable connectors, like a splice available which would work better.

    Just saying:
    1. The battery cable must remain intact
    2. The links must be where they won't do damage if blown.
    3. High power car audio is the place to look.
    4. If you need tape, 3M Self-fusing electrical tape is the way to go, but it's about $30 a roll at an electrical supply house.
    5. You may be able to make your own fuseable link box.

I had a Toyota which had the standard cable that attached directly to the post and then a large wing nut. This allowed disconnection of the battery with ease. One went to the starter and there was a few smaller cables that attached there too. Fuseabe links (as wires) were in enclosed fuse boxes in the engine compartment.

I would need some pictures to be able to give you better ideas.

The links broke because they flexed at the rubber joint.
