Sister wants to know if guys just want sex.
Hey Guys!
My sister wants to know what guys look for in a girl. Is it bad to be innocent? To be 17 and still a virgin?
What attracts guys to girls? What do they want from a girl?
LET US KNOW!

I'm not a guy. But from my experience guys like the "innocent, naive, girl next door", that's who they want to date, and invest their heart in.

Guys tastes and preferences vary dramatically but in general as far as "attraction" goes.
From a strictly biological (animal) perspective, men look for women they believe will bear them many children.
Men tend to be visual and, if you haven't noticed already, some of us suffer from "Wandering Eye Syndrome".

I agree and diagree with the above.
Their tastes and preferences do vary GREATLY as far as what they find attractive. What pleases their eyes, that doesn't necessarily mean that's what they want to invest in. For instance, my boyfriend finds girls that dress skanky attractive, but he would never date a girl like that. He thinks I'm beautiful because I dress conservatively and focus on work and education instead of partying.
I disagree that men look for women that will bear them many children. Some men do not want children at all. And speaking from unmarried parents I can say that women are usually the ones that want many children, not men.
And on the third note, I have to agree with that as well. Men are very very visual, and like I said they like what pleases the eye. And some girls wear tight or revealing clothing to catch men's attention.
So, basically; If she just wants to "get" a man, dress like a skank. If she wants a boyfriend that wants a commitment, tell her to be true to herself and the right man will come along.

Thanks guys,
But immediate attraction was looks right?
Someone who looks like they are up for sex?
My sister is very smart and is focusing on the HSC, but she's absolutely GORGEOUS. She just doesn't dress very skankyyy, and it seems to her that everyone else is getting boyfriends except for her because of this.
Helpppp

So Always_Helping.. personally, just out of interest..
Scenario:
Say.. you had a good looking girlfriend, but you had been with her for a while. Would the "wandering eye syndrome" be because you were interested in someone else, or what? Haha

Immediate attraction does not necessarily have to do with looks. It depends on what the person finds attractive. If they find laughs attractive, personality, education, looks... whatever.

I have a feeling you're doing the whole "door knob question"... so here goes.
Guys are attracted to a wide variety of women. Some find Jessica Simpson gorgeous... some do not. It really depends on the guy's taste.
Now, if I had a good looking girlfriend, been with her for a while, but I started to have the "wandering eye syndrome," it would really depend on how much of the syndrome I had.
If I'm at the mall, walking with my girlfriend, and I find another girl just physically attractive, and I look... that means little to nothing. Granted, I'd be smart about it if I were with my girlfriend and just not look... because that's just disrespectful and mean.
That's one thing. That means little to nothing. Just "wow, she's pretty," type things.
If I'm at a bar and I start talking to a girl... also, that may mean nothing. It's a bit... shall we say, dangerous, but again. I've spoken to girls I meet at bars, and I've told them I had a girlfriend... and we still carried on a nice conversation.
If I'm at a bar, meet a girl, start talking to her, don't tell her I have a girlfriend, get her number, etc.
... then you can bet your butt that I'm looking for a way out.

Before I answer the question above, I must remind you that my first response was referring to men's basic/biological/animal inclinations. I made sure to carefully qualify my response.
To answer the question: My wandering eye syndrome occurs because I enjoy looking at what *I* consider "attractive women". It's as if I am "wired" to look at women I find attractive. Guys *in general* are wired to look. We guys have to learn to consciously control our wandering eye syndrome.
Bottom line: Guys look (married guys, boyfriends, etc.)

For men, we look at a woman *before* we even think of finding her attractive. Some guys lean more towards the physical, some guys look at "how she carries herself". Guys will "assess" a woman by observing her and seeing if she meets *his* criterion for what he finds attractive.
I also believe that men sometimes are intimidated by drop dead gorgeous women. Some men just don't approach these women; it's true. In my life, I never approached what I felt were hot, sexy, and/or gorgeous women... that was my preference.
By the way, for reference, I've been happily married for over 5 years.

As a 19 year old non-virgin male...
Many guys have different tastes in women. Some like brunettes, some like blondes... Some like Asians, some like Europeans etc.
The innocent part is hard to say cause some people like it and some don't.
As for a 17 year old virgin part.... IT IS GOOD SIGN.
Lots of teens age stupid and bone each other.. then pretend they love each other and get dramatical when the break up comes.

Well me being who I am, I like sporty chicks who are confident, not afraid to let go and get their hands dirty. A girl who is smart, attractive and is loving.
Being a virgin isn't a bad thing at all, it shows that your not dirty with diseases.:p
I definently don't go for girls just for sex, definently not.
