    Hello Jibagar

What happened to the original drivers that were provided with the hardware?
Don't you have different partitions on your hard drive?
If only one I suggest you do another complete set-up to make at least 2 partitions.
One for XP (about 20 GB) and the other/others for data storage - including a software directory where you an store drivers and other software, which are not deleted when you re-install XP or another Operational System.

There must be something else going on here, as I do not see anything special on your hardware.
Just put in the Windows CD, and run it again for a repair job of the Windows system itself.
That will most probably solve all problems. Except of course if you have no partitioned hard drive...

    Success !

Of course I did not have 2 partitions and I bought the machine from someone who did not have the Drivers CD... I can still use the machine but
    1. The screen gets distorted when drugging, maximizing and minimizing windows
    2. No sound
    3. Lpt port disabled
    4. NIC port (LAN) disabled... I had to use PCI NIC to get the LAN access

    It's a total mess...
I opened the machine and to my amaze... it has almost three brand names.. Seems like
It's a combination of different manufacturers...
    The BRAND name is IQON.IE
    MODEL: Pundit-2

I think you got the picture...

    :(

Belarc Advisor - Free Personal PC Audit

Download above software and run on your PC.
It will tell you what onboard sound device you have and what motherboard you have, with that info you can go and download the necessary drivers from the makers website.
