    How hard is it to get a family member out of your home that has been living here since Jan 2008. He pays his rent but does not abide by the rules here.

    The residence is in Florida

    If there is no lease, then you can terminate the tenancy with one month's notice. If he still refuses to leave after being served a formal termination notice, then you have to go through the formal eviction process. Check with your local court for the steps of that process.

    Yes, give him a one month notice and if they do not you will have to file with housing court for a formal eviction
