I don't know why this would occur with email unless you're using a web based service like Hotmail. For Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer, the noise is likely the Start Navigation sound you get when you click on a link, or a page auto-refreshes. If the pages you are viewing have redirects, generate popups, or do other less than safe funkiness (domain squatter sites for example), you may get multiple clicks.

The sounds are controlled via the Windows Sounds and Audio Devices Control Panel Applet. The Start Navigation item is on the Sound tab and listed in the Windows Explorer group.

It wouldn't hurt to do a full spyware and antivirus scan to ensure your browsing hasn't been taken over via a drive-by install or other malicious browser helper object. Do you seem to be navigating places you didn't intend?

Thanks for answering Scleros, I have no idea what's going on with my PC.. when I click on a page or e mail to send the pointer with hour glass is flashing, like it was sending to 5 or 6 others,When I back up a page some times it will go from page 10 to page 7 or 8 instead of nine, If I send forward a copy of an e-mail, it clicks about 5 times like it was sending 5 times.. I did scan with AVG, and spyboot, nothing found, This is strange, if you got any other ideas feel free to send on..

    Thank you

Email: send something to yourself and see if you get multiple copies.

The browser going back multiple pages: if you have a another mouse, try it. A bad button switch could be generating multiple clicks.
