    I need new friends!
So I just moved to Georgia (where my mom lives because my parents got a divorce), and I'm starting school in a little less than a month. I don't know anybody here. I'm going into 11th grade. I really want to make new friends over the summer so I don't go into school without any friends, but I don't know how! I have a lot of friends back in Michigan that I really miss, but I know I have to make new ones... can anyone give me any suggestions?

See if there is a parks & rec department in the city that offers classes or activities for teens or something along those lines

Boy, if I had a second chance, I'd be out looking to join a young bowling league, go swimming, play mini-golf or join a local gym during the time people my age usually go there. Entertainment parks are cool too.

I lived in Georgia and just loved the weather, city tours - don't miss Savannah or Atlanta - nothing like the old parts of town, and the seafood is just great. So, even if you don't need the money, find a part-time job where other kids your age work and get to meet new people that way.

Good luck, and enjoy the state - it has a lot to offer. Gosh, how I envey you!

If you like to read you can join a club at the library. Then you can meet people around the same age as you. Also you can go to the park, join a sports team. You can also meet neighbors and see if they know of any people that live around you. The most important thing is that you cannot be shy. Yes, that means you can even go up to a random person that looks your age and make up a lie like "You're shirt is totally awesome!" From there you can start a conversation about anything!!
Let me know how this all works out!
