    Hampton Bay fan doesn't react to remote
    Moved into 30 yr old house. Both remotes for Hampton Bay fans in Living Room and Bedroom OK, but cannot get reaction from fans. If only one fan were inoperable, it may be the fan or wiring. But both get no reaction; must be something simple.:confused:

    How do you know the remotes are OK if they do nothing?

    Do the fans have pullchains?
