    Briggs & Stratton powerloss
To start I would like to say hello to everyone. I just bought a four year old Craftsman LT 1000 model 917.272751 with an 18 hp Briggs & Stratton OHV engine. Ok here is where the problem starts. Everything runs fine and sound beautiful until you engage the blades the motors power just cut in half. You disengaged the blades and you go back to full throttle just as it was before engaging them. I have made sure that there is nothing rapped around blades and the top of the deck and there is nothing. There is no bearing seized or anything like that. Can this be a governor problem or is it something more in depth. Thank you for the help

I would check the governor springs. It sounds as if the governor is not operating.
