Remember that nobody here has an all-seeing eye ! Why would you have to order an item to wire a ceiling fan ?

Can you tell here please what your precise problem is?
    What is your wiring problem?
Why would you need any items?
Don't you have an operation - installation manual? The wiring is explained there.
What has Home Depot to do with this all?

Please private mail me if you have the answers. Click on my handle and follow the instructions. I will reply here in this topic.

The number for Hampton Bay is in the Electrical and Lighting sticky.

But Home Depot often gives misinformation. What is the issue wiring the fan?

If you have recently bought this fan home depot should give you the part you need out of another box and defect out that fan. From working in retail for 6 years I can tell you that's what other stores would do. It's not your fault the fan didn't come with the part

I agree. Or just return the fan for another.
