    Brain numbing depression
For the past 20+ years I have been through phases of mania and depression, these past 2 years it seems to be more depression.

Now, I am sleeping a lot more than I am awake and my mind numb, the depression headaches are getting painful(this type of headache is like a band of pressure wrapping around the head with constant pain)

Medications are not doing very much, although they have kept me from going manic for the last 1 1/2 years or so,Yes, I take them as prescribed.

My question is, Does anyone out there in cyberspace have an idea I can use for the relief of these feelings of low self and lack of motivation I feel.

I have a 12 step program I work, a sponsor,a therapist, and AMHD,Family is near and well educated but are at a loss when dealing with me lately.

Also, I had to remove my 21 year old from my home recently due to her unruly, and disrespectful behavior,I am at a little loss there.

Just rambling now,any response would be helpful:)

Have you tried natural medicine? I suffer from anxiety/panic attack disorder and with natural remedies/techniques my life is less stressful. It might even help with your bi polar.

Just maybe something to look into.
    Good luck.

I suggested that to him in another post.
I think he would have a hard time converting over anyway even if he wanted to.

I recently read about dark therapy. Have you tried it?

I know vitamin D really makes a difference. In the winter I have to take it since there is not enough sun where I live.

    Hi KBC,

I really did mean dark therapy. I haven't yet learned to paste a link... I went to Google and typed "bipolar disorder light and dark therapy" into the search bar.

It has to do with blue light, from computers and TV screens. I tried enforced darkness ten hours a day and felt my mood pick up right away. Light is good too and getting out in the sunshine every day makes my mood bearable.

Dark therapy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I did it! I pasted a link. Actually, that may not be a good one.

    Thanks NOhelp4u.
