    Putting my house up for sell before bankruptcy is final
    I am in chapter 7 bankruptcy I know I can't sell my house until discharge but want to know if I can put it up for sale before the bankruptcy is final

    From a practical point-of-view, in states with limited homestead exemptions, you would not want to list the house with the customarily inflated sale price, on the one hand; and the deflated sale price that is shown on the bankruptcy petition. You should wait at least until the last date for a creditor filing an objection to your discharge.
