    1995 olds aurora transmission
    I have 95 olds aurora and when I shift into reverse it makes a clanking sound is there any way I can stop that from happening with out buying a new transmission

    Is the noise coming from the transmission or is it from the mounts?

    Like Captain said, you might be hearing a different noise caused by the flexing of the motor. If it's moving enough, the exhaust may be resting on the frame when you have the vehicle in drive.
