We have a brand new home, with a game room above the family room. The game room has french doors going out onto a deck which sits directly over large set of windows in the family room. The deck has cantilver beams (hope I'm using the right terminology) that come directly into the brick of the home. We are having a leak long the top of those windows where the deck beams are attached to the frame of the home. There doesn't seem to be cauling around these beams, where they meet the brick. How do we fix a problem like this? And what should've been done during construction to alleviate the leak?

Are the beams a single 2 by material or two pieces of 2 X material sister togeather.
