    Honda civic no clicking sound
    Have a 1989 honda civic. When I turn the ignition on I usually hear a click then it starts great. Now I do not hear the clicking sound and won't start. You think it's the fuel pump relay??

    . Check all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter:

    Pay particular attention to the ACG (ALT) (S) fuse, likely Fuse No. 12 in the under-dash fuse box. Check all fuses carefully.

    . If the Check Engine Light stays on, when the ignition switch is turned to ON, perform the K-Test on the ECM:

    Remove the MAP Sensor connector and turn the ignition switch to ON (not start). Using a multimeter, check for 5 volts going between the MAP Sensor connector's reference wire (+) and ground. As you look at the connector, this is the socket on the right. Really press the black test lead into a cleaned main ECM ground on the thermostat housing. If the voltage is low, it's probably indicating ECM failure. Most failed ECMs will record a fraction of a volt. To me, the K-Test is simple, elegant, and accurate.

    I suspect the main relay is okay, but a blown fuse or failed ECM prevents it from working properly.
