    MTD Lawn Tractor
Have an MTD Lawn Tractor Yard Machine that will not get gas. If you put gas in the carborator it runs but as soon as that gas is gone it quits. Does this mower have a fuel pump? Model 14AS820H352. I think it is a 2002 model:)

The engine #s is what will tell if the fuel pump was an option or not. Not the mtd model #. Check the float and needle.

Sounds like the foat and needle are stuck. Drop the carb boawl and spay with carb cleaner and check the spring on the float

    Hi,
The "piss poor" manual for your machine seems to show an opposed twin. That would mean it has a fuel pump on the front side of the carb. If it has three screws, it is a393397.
