    Marital debt
I am currently going through a divorce but have not seen a lawyer yet. My husband had poor credit from his past. So I had him added to my cards. I am the primary on all the cards and he is a card holder and also has charged as well as me. If the cards are in my name and he is a cardholder--who is responsible for these debts--both of us or just me

    Thanks

You are. Cancel those accounts now, I've seen instance after instance of a subordinate user on a credit card maxxing the card out to punish the ex, and there was no way to avoid repaying it since the card was legit at the time the charges were made.

Close the account, continue to pay off the balance. Feel free to get another replacement card in your name alone, perhaps right from the same bank.

You can request money from your husband to compensate you - repay you - for your monthly installments on the credit cards.
