How much egg can a 3 year old eat?
My 3 year old grandaughter has started "enjoying" a scrambled egg with shredded cheese every morning for breakfast. I am starting to wonder if one egg a day is too much for her. It is fast and convenient and shee loves it. We started with Eggos and pancakes a few months back, but she got tired of them. One day she saw my eggs and asked me to have some and now she loves it.
Maybe I can do Eggbeaters a couple of days a week if the regular eggs are too much.
    What do you guys think?
    Thanks.:)

I have tried to go back to the Eggos, pancakes, or even hote cereal, but all she wants is eggs. Maybe the Eggbeaters is our best choice until she gets tired of it.
    Thanks for your response.

Sorry so she is three, who is the adult here, they may lke or want a lot of things but it appears you are raising her, at least for breakfeast so you have to do the parents role, which means a proper meal each day and a egg alone is not a proper meal. Sorry no you don't just give them what they want and not give them other things to eat other days, Sorry but that is just silly letting the child control what happens.

Fr_Chuck you are correct. I didn't realize it until you mention it. She is a good eater, and eats almost everything, and sometimes in the mornings we just "give in" to avoid arguments and cries, but you are right about who the adult is.
    Thanks for your comments.

The regular eggs would be healthier than egg beaters and things with preservatives
One egg per day should not be a problem. Get her to eat other things with it and the egg as a side.

Maybe you could tell her she can have an egg AFTER she eats some of her breakfast as a 'breakfast dessert'

They say eggs causing high bad cholesterol was an bunch of hype

And MAKE SURE that they eggs are fully cooked.
    E. coli is found naturally in the intestines of chickens.Even if the egg is not broken it can contain it.
