    Removing camper toilet
I am trying to remove a camper toilet but the nut and bolt holding it to the floor both turn. Is there an easy way to remove this bolt? Thanks

Bolts are loose in the mounting ring. You have few choices:

    1. Take flat screw driver, insert it bellow the nut and apply upward pressure. Take pliers and try to unscrew the nut

    2. Try to push your toilet bowl to the opposite side of the screw in question while unscrewing it. Bowl will put upward pressure on the nut, pulling up the bolt. At the same time, try to unscrew the nut.

3.Fastest way: take hacksaw and cut it off the bolt right bellow the nut. Remove toilet and replace bolts.

Yes! This happens on regular toilets also. Both nut and bolt are brass so there will be no rust to hassle with. When this happens to me I do one of two things.
    1) I take a hacksaw blade, wrap a rag around the end for a handle and saw the nut off **or** 2) I take a screwdriver and jam the bolt under the nut so it won't turn and then unscrew the nut with a pair of pliers. Good luck, Tom
Sorry Milo, I posted right on top of you. Great minds think alike!!
