Insurance Settlement
I live in California, my daughter was in an accident she was pregnant but has had the baby since, early labor, I don't think labor was early because of the accident, because she was checked and she was fine, the only thing that bothered her after the accident was that her tailbone bothered her, we don't know if it was the pregnancy or not, since delivering she seems OK, but I don't know if there will be any long term problems in the future, they want to settle for $1000, what is the least I could accept without going to court.

You have to think of it this way: lawyer fees, time off work lost, your daughter with new baby in court and any other downside you can think of that costs money during the court case. Take a piece of paper divide in half and put pluses on one side, minuses on other. Add it all up and consider if you are better off taking the $l000 which can be put in escrow or in a savings account, or, better yet a physical therapist for your daugher's back and that is more then enough for that.

I don't know when the accident happened but you should find out 100% if her problems were or were not the result of the accident and, if so, if they are permanent before she even thinks about settlement.

Did they pay any of the doctor visits being checked, also was there any other damage to property that needed to be paid or repaid.
