My circuit includes 2 3way switches that control 2 lights. I have power coming into the first 3way switch with a 12/2 wire. The hot (black) is connected to the single common, the 2 travelers are connected to the 2 travelers on the second switch, then the common on the second switch goes through the 1st light, then to the 2nd light, then to the neutral (white) on the incoming power line. Problem: The switches are working the lights correctly; I have 110 volts going into the 1st switch but only have about 60v at the lights. Why, what’s wrong?

You have the lights in series rather than parallel. 60+60 = 120. Each light drops 1/2 the voltage in the configuration you have.

Great, thank you - that makes sense.

Now, to wire the lights in parallel, the neutral wire needs to not only be wired in, through the light and then back out but, I also need to jump over or past the light connecting on the other side as well..... right?

Put the whites together on the first and second light and attach to neutral.

Put the blacks together on the first and second light and attach to the (common of the second switch)

I'm assuming that the lights have a black and a white.
