I have seven counts against me I am 20 years old I work part-time go to school and do community service hours. But I got caught up in something really stupid and now I face seven counts which include fraud under C.C. 380(1) 2 counts, Uttering forged document C.C. 368(1)(a) 2 counts, possession property obtained by crime (under) C.C. 354(1) 3 counts

I have walked on both sides.

When walking on that side... YOU need to get yourself a lawyer to advise you. Mortgage yourself to the hilt to figure it out.

As to 'more info' you need to describe what happened in more detail.

It is hard to say, First don't know what country you live in, and if in the US what state. If in the US, are you charged and going to court in city court or in state court. That can make a large difference right there.

I will also assume you were arrested and are now out on bond?

But you need an attorney, each charge has specific requriements that have to be meet to be convicted of that crime. And it is your attorneys job to see if they can or can not make a case, many times the attorney will then work out the best deal he can.

    Hello K:

Do what these people said. However, if you're doing community service NOW, that means you're ALREADY on probation... That ain't going to be good for you. EVEN if you're found not guilty, you probably violated your probation.

So you're like volunteering... nothing mandated by the court or anything, is that right?

You realized they were fake and THEN you tried to sell them back? Not terribly smart - like passing money you know is counterfeit.

I'd get an attorney and begin to plea bargain - you're a small fish here. They need to find whoever was counterfeiting the tickets.

I would not go into this without an Attorney - you are in serious trouble.

No, I don't see that helping you at all - you're charged with 7 counts, you've admitted here (and people can access these boards) that you knew they were counterfeit and tried to turn them in for cash. I have no idea what you confessed to the Police. It's called stealing - and that's why you're facing 7 counts.

Again - retain an Attorney. Or pack a toothbrush.

Then why are you posting here - an Attorney familiar with the law, familiar with the situation, has given you advice. Do you think people who don't know/understand the situation can give you better advice than that Attorney?
